All things cinema...

I will be posting reviews of movies I watch on DVD and on the big screen. I go to see a movie at the cinema at least once a week. I almost have this compulsion to write about them.

I saw this film in XD and 3d. I was pleasantly surprised by its action sequences, costumes, sets, the acting and cast. The CGI AAAMAZZING!!

Even though I am not a huge fan of Mickey Rourke, his portrayal of a power hungry bastard seeking world dominance was brilliantly done. I have to admit that he really delves into every character he immerses himself in.

Henry Cavill as Theseus - WOW! What can I say without being superficial here...he was just amazing with his acting and fighting abilities, and those abs..well you could grade some serious cheese on them.

Frieda Pinto was amazing as well with her exotic beauty as the Virgin Oracle who beds Theseus. I mean who wouldn't, they are just gorgeous people.

John Hurt was incredible as Zeus and "the old man" who teaches and mentors Theseus.

Just wanted to add this in. I think that all the beautiful actors and actresses are just aliens from another planets sometimes, because they just seem so perfect to me.

So go see this film. I hope it will not disappoint.

8/10 is my rating.

I have to wait till it come out on Blu Ray(this is one movie i wouldn't want no other way)i enjoy movies like this so its really high on my list of films to see.

I'm surprised you don't like Mickey Rourke, granted the guy's face has been through some changes but one thing i don't think he's ever loss is his acting ability, for me its good to see that his star is back on the rise which for me started with Sin City and not The Wrestler which every one wants to say was his come back just because he was nominated for an Oscar in that role(ok end of Mickey Rourke rant).
